These terms govern use of the AfroKompass Travel pages (afrokompass.de/reisen, /travel, /voyage) and the comparison and search functions available through them. The provider is:

AfroKompass Travel provides an information, comparison and referral platform. We aggregate search and price information for flights, hotels, car hire and transfers from third-party providers and forward you to the respective provider to book.
AfroKompass Travel is itself neither a tour operator, seller, airline, hotel, nor a contracting party to the transport or accommodation service. We do not sell tickets and do not conclude travel contracts in our own name.
A binding contract for a travel service (e.g. flight, hotel room, rental car) is concluded solely between you and the provider you choose. That provider's general terms, fare and carriage conditions and privacy notices apply.
Booking confirmation, payment, rebooking, cancellation, refunds, baggage, visa and carriage matters, and all customer service lie exclusively with the respective provider. Please contact them directly in these cases.
Prices, flight and travel times, availability, baggage rules and other details originate from the providers or our technology partner and may change at any time, including at short notice. They do not constitute a binding offer by AfroKompass Travel. What counts is always the price and availability shown to you by the provider at the booking step. Information on our guide and route pages (e.g. flight duration, "from" prices, best time to travel) are non-binding reference values.
Using AfroKompass Travel is free of charge for you. We are funded through affiliate partnerships: if you book via one of our links, the provider pays us a referral commission. You pay the same price as booking directly – with no surcharge.
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, under the Product Liability Act, and for injury to life, body or health. For simple negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation (cardinal duty) and limited to the foreseeable, contract-typical damage.
For the services of the providers – in particular performance, punctuality, quality, annulment or cancellation of flights, hotels and other travel services – we accept no liability, as we are not a contracting party to those services. Likewise we give no warranty for the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of content and prices provided by third parties.
We strive for operation that is as uninterrupted as possible but cannot guarantee constant availability of the website and its functions. Our pages contain third-party links and embedded functions; the respective provider is responsible for their content, and no legal violations were apparent at the time of linking. AfroKompass Travel content is protected by copyright; use beyond the legally permitted cases requires our consent.
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. We may adapt these terms with effect for the future; the version published on this page applies.
The EU Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged and generally not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.
